Kinect Gets a Price Cut

Microsoft has announced a new, permanently reduced price for Japan. According to Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, the new price will be $109.99 in the United States, down from the previous cost of $149.99.

The price drop is live as of today in the U.S., and already reflected on Amazon.

A permanent price drop will also come to the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions, with a drop to follow in Australia and New Zealand on October 4th. Major Nelson notes that “the final retail price will vary in each region based on the currency and other variables,” and that there are currently no plans for a price drop in Europe or Japan.

Kinect’s line-up moving forward includes NBA Baller Beats as well as Matter, which as announced at E3. Other titles include interactive TV experiences Kinect Sesame Street TV and Kinect Nat Geo TV as well as Nike+ Kinect Training, which Microsoft detailed in July.
