Zen Pinball’s PS3/Vita Release Date, New Table Tease

We announced back in April that Zen Pinball 2 would be coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Better yet, it would support crossplay between the two platforms and be completely free. But after playing it at E3 and expecting a quick turnaround after the show, Zen Pinball 2 fell off the map for a while.

But now, we finally know when Zen Pinball 2 will be coming to both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on September 4th in North America. Its release date in other territories is still unknown.

Zen Studios has also teased “a brand new table based on one of PopCap Games’ mega hits” that will be revealed at PAX Prime. The table will come out for both Zen Pinball 2 and Xbox 360’s Pinball FX2 in September.

Zen Pinball 2 will launch with 26 tables, and if you already own Zen Pinball and/or Marvel Pinball, as well as any of its DLC, applicable tables from those games will be imported to Zen Pinball 2 free of charge. Each new table available for Zen Pinball 2 – which, unlike the game itself, will cost money – will come equipped with new Trophies and online leaderboards spanning both platforms.

Keep an eye on IGN for more on Zen Pinball 2, including a full review, in the coming weeks.
