Activision has revealed that 007 Legends, its upcoming shooter featuring a story based on six classic James Bond films, will include a level based on 1964's Goldfinger.
Goldfinger, which originally starred Sean Connery as the British super spy, saw Bond battling Auric Goldfinger, a criminal mastermind who planned to detonate an atomic bomb inside Fort Knox to render the USA's gold bullion radioactive and cripple the country. The trailer, which you can see on USA Today for now, features appearances by Goldfinger, Oddjob and Pussy Galore.
As expected, the reveal of Goldfinger means 007 Legends will feature a mission based on a film starring each of the six men who've portrayed Bond in the official series since 1962. Activision has previously revealed that the game will feature missions based upon On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Moonraker, License to Kill, Die Another Day and the upcoming Skyfall.
007 Legends will feature a cast of past Bond actors, with Richard Kiel reprising his role as Jaws and Michael Lonsdale providing the likeness and voice of Hugo Drax among others. However, much to the likely chagrin of purists, only current Bond Daniel Craig appears to feature as 007 in all six missions.
007 Legends is hitting PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in mid-October. A Wii U version is slated to hit within the Wii U's launch window.
