Black Ops 2: Nuketown 2025 Image Released

Activision has released the first image of the Nuketown 2025 map for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Nuketown 2025 will be given for free to all players who pre-order the game or anyone who purchases the Hardened or Care Package special editions.

In addition to the multiplayer map, Activision has also announced that anyone who's pre-ordered the title will get access to a double XP weekend between November 16 and 18 to celebrate the game's launch.

Nuketown 2025 is an updated version of the Nuketown map, which first appeared in the original Black Ops. As one of the smallest maps in the game, the original Nuketown is based on a typical U.S. suburb used to demonstrate the effects of a nuclear weapon on a residential area, replete with mannequins.

The updated Nuketown 2025 will still encourage the close quarters combat that made the original so popular, but has been re-imagined in a depiction of the "Model Home of the Future". This isn't the only appearance that the Nuketown map will make in the game though; anyone who buys the Hardened, Care Package or Digital Deluxe editions of the game will receive the Nuketown Zombies bonus map for use in Black Ops II's Zombies mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 13, and on the Wii U on its respective launch dates.
