IGN AU Pubcast Ep. 55: Forza Win!

Before we get started, two apologies are in order. Firstly, sorry this episode is a week late. Events – also known as actual work, as opposed to sitting around talking crap about games – conspired against us, so we had to push this one back. The good news is that this means there’ll be two Pubcasts in a row. Good news if you like the damn thing that is.

Secondly, an apology and warning in one. This episode we – GASP! – spend most of the running time actually discussing video games. I have no idea how it happened, but our most sincere apologies. We’ll try and do better next week.

It may be colourful, but the reality is that they're all dead now.

Here’s some of what awaits you in Episode 55:

  • Rat shadows! Has there been a bigger innovation in gaming – or the Universe - in recent years? We don’t think so, and the rest of Dishonored is pretty sweet too.
  • Hitman’s coming back in November, and much like Dishonored it’s all about experimentation and player choice. Luke’s played a heap of it and waxes lyrical on why fans are going to love it.
  • We discuss why Jay Z shouldn’t have been let anywhere near NBA 2K13. Did he ruin the game? No, but he sure as hell tried. Wonder what would have happened if they’d given the gig to Phil Smythe instead?
  • Mechromancer impressions from Baker. Dude’s spent a whole mess of time with Borderlands 2
  • You’ll all be staggered to hear Luke loved Forza Horizon. Is it the new Driver: San Francisco? Listen to (not) find out.
  • Baker reveals why he spent $40 on a free iPhone game. Spoiler alert: he didn’t mean to.
  • Cam gets angry about being given a discount on XBL purchases.
  • Everyone gets angry about the latest spate of board games that are being turned into motion pictures. Hungry Hungry Hippos? Really? Get a grip Hollywood!
  • We answer more of your Facebook questions, and reveal why a Katamari is a ball of doom.
