As Amy and Rory departed Doctor Who at the end of the mid-series finale The Angels Take Manhattan, we were left wondering how Rory's dad Brian would take the news. A firm fan favourite despite only being introduced in the second episode of this season, Brian Williams, as played by Harry Potter's Mark Williams, never got to say goodbye to his son and daughter-in-law.
Well, it seems like scriptwriter Chris Chibnall had originally planned to give Brian what they call 'closure,' as a new clip released today by the BBC reveals. Reconstructed using animated storyboards and voiceovers, this epilogue entitled P.S. gives the one-time Who companion a fitting (and emotional) send off, which you can watch below.
The Doctor will return on Christmas Day for his usual festive outing, which will see the introduction of his new companion, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.
