343 Industries and Microsoft Studios have announced the Blu-ray, DVD and digital release of their live-action webseries Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. Just in time for the holidays, the title will be hitting shelves on December 4.
"This film has a TV-14 rating, and deals with some pretty grim subjects, but in the framework of the Halo universe," said Frank O’Connor, Franchise Development Director for 343 Industries. "Our intent was to make it 'feel' like the same tone as the game, but with perhaps more emphasis on grittier, more human concepts, given the medium."
The release will also allow fans to enjoy the series as one, uninterrupted film. Plus, the set will feature the complete collection of bonus footage, which features over 60 minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes featurettes.
