Want more The Walking Dead?
Well in an effort to boost ratings for its upcoming Thursday night unscripted block, AMC has announced plans to air all of Season 1 and the first half of Season 2 of their record-breaking series in black and white beginning on Thursday Feb, 14 at 6:30 PM.
That’s going to make for a perfect Valentine’s evening for some lucky couples out there. Nothing says hearts and roses like the zombie apocalypse.
THR reports that the network will air the first two episodes of Season 1 on the 14th, which will immediately be followed by Kevin Smith's Comic Book Men at 9 PM., the debut of the unscripted look at Venice Beach, Freakshow at 9:30 PM and the Taxidermy competition series, Immortalized, at 10 PM.
The network’s hope is to find the same success with their reality show endeavors as they have with their scripted series. AMC has aired the pilot of The Walking Dead in black and white previously, but likely believes that fans of Robert Kirkman's Image Comics series will tune in to see the full season and a half play out in a manner that matches the comic’s original aesthetic.
The full episode schedule follows:
Feb. 14, 6:30 p.m. 101 Feb. 14, 8 p.m. 102 Feb. 21, 8 p.m. 103 Feb. 28, 8 p.m. 104 March 7, 8 p.m. 105 March 14, 8 p.m. 106 March 21, 7:30 p.m. 201 April 4, 8 p.m. 202 April 11, 8 p.m. 203 April 18, 8 p.m. 204 April 25, 8 p.m. 205 May 2, 8 p.m. 206
