IPL5 League of Legends Day 3 Preview

After all the excitement and drama of yesterday, especially Fnatic taking out TPA, today has a super high bar to try and pass but the games are most certainly there.

Coming up first on the main-stage we have an all Curse affair. Curse.EU will take on Curse.NA in this Lower Bracket game. Knocking your own sister team out of an event is quite a harsh state of affairs, but that’s not too important. What is important is that this should be a great game, both teams knowing each other well often leads to really entertaining matches. Curse.EU have looked the stronger of the two teams overall at IPL5 so far and go in to this as a very slight favorite. Curse.NA have done exceptionally as well, especially getting ahead of M5 before making an error and giving the game away.

First up on the second stream TPA will face off against SGS in a lower bracket match. This could be a good match but most likely TPA will win and probably quite handily. While SGS are a very solid team and are capable of taking games off them, TPA has been in great form over the whole event. While they did lose to Fnatic yesterday that had a lot more to do with Fnatic playing fantastically than TPA playing badly.

Second up on the main stage should be an absolutely spectacular upper bracket game, CLG.EU vs WE. Both teams come into this event as favorites to reach the top three and both have been in really good form so far. While WE have looked more spectacular, with the crazy five-man ganks and amazing coordination. CLG.EU have looked great as well, especially as they have  shown that they are more willing to play an aggressive early game when they feel it is worth the risk. This could easily be the best game of the day and is very much one to watch.

In the second game spot on the off-stream there is another really tight upper bracket game. Fnatic vs CLG.EU should be a blinder of a match, with both teams looking very ready. The most fun aspect of this game will be that Doublelift carried really hard yesterday and so did Rekkles. Both favor Vayne so she will be highly contested and the skill of the two ADs should make the botlane fight one of the best so far.
