Kotobukiya Explores Dead Space

While in the past Kotobukiya has tended to focus on Japanese video games and anime for their various statue collections, recent years have seen the company shift focus to include Western properties like Star Wars and the heroes of Marvel and DC. 2012 has even seen the company tackle Western video games like Mass Effect.

Dead Space is one of the newer licenses Koto acquired, and they've finally unveiled their Isaac Clarke ArtFX Statue just in time for the release of Dead Space in February.

This version of Isaac is based on his appearance in Dead Space 3, including the suit modifications made for the game's arctic setting. Isaac comes with his signature plasma cutter, and the head is articulated so as to allow limited posing options.

Like several of Kotobukiya's recent ArtFX release, the statue features several battery-operated LED lights. Isaac's helmet, glove, and backpack all have light-up functions.

This statue is designed at 1:6 scale and measures about 12.5 inches tall. Kotobukiya has priced this piece at $139.99, with an expected release date of June 2013.
