Mojang has announced that more than five million copies of Minecraft: Pocket Edition have been sold. The news comes via a Tweet from Mojang’s Johan Bernhardsson, who called the sales “amazing.”
Pocket Edition sales join the four million copies sold on Xbox 360 and 8.3 million currently listed for the PC version, pushing sales of the Minecraft franchise well beyond 17 million across all platforms.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition will next be updated to version 0.5.1, with online multiplayer set to come in the future.
