Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 6 will be available on PCs via Steam and at retail from March 22, 2013.
In addition to the game, PC players will also get all of the DLC that's currently available for the console versions at no extra cost, including the "No Hope" difficulty.
While the game will be available as a physical boxed copy, buying it via Steam will net you access to Cloud saving, Steam Achievements, friend support, game overlay and leaderboards.
In terms of minimum specs, this is what Capcom recommends you have:
- OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
- Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 Ghz or better
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
- Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better
- DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
- Sound: Standard audio device
The game's recommended specs, meanwhile, are as follows:
- OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
- Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz or better, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 Ghz or better
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
- Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better
- DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
- Sound: Standard audio device
