Today marks the final day of IPL5. It's been a weekend full of excitement with the GSL World Championships, the Season 5 Code S Finals, and the progression of the IPL5 bracket. Here is the round-up of today's matches and what to expect as we close out the final day.
LOSER ROUND 10: Polt vs. Bomber
Polt started in WR4, where he swept YoDa then Creator immediately after. He fell to Leenock in WR6 but bounced back and eliminated GSL champion Sniper (2-0). Bomber made one of the most exciting runs in the bracket, defeating players such as sLivko (2-0), Caliber (2-0), Sculp (2-1), San (2-0), Snute (2-1), and Creator (2-1). TvT's have been rare this tournament, and this is one not to be missed.
WINNERS BRACKET FINAL: Leenock vs. viOLet
These two Zerg players dominated the Winner Bracket, which was unquestionably one of the most stacked brackets in SC2 history. It was a long journey as both Koreans had to start in Round 1. To get here, viOLet defeated ToD (2-0), LucifroN (2-0), INnoVation (2-1), Snute (2-0), HerO (2-1), and Symbol (2-0). Leenock tore up his bracket, sweeping every single one of his opponents (with the exception of Apocalypse), including Goswser (2-0), Life (2-0), XiGua (2-0), TheStC (2-0), and Polt (2-0).
Round 2 & 3 of the GSL World Championships
Tonight we will witness the conclusion of the GSL World Championships. The Korean All-Stars narrowly defeated the World All-Stars (3-2) in Round 1, so the World Team will surely be looking for vengeance in rounds two and three. We will see an all-kill format team match as well as an ace match.
The IPL5 Grand Finals
Will we see a Zerg or Terran champion? It's anyone's game as we going into the final parts of IPL5 and get closer and closer to the grand final. Who will be crowned as the IPL5 champion?
