30th Annual PaleyFest Lineup Revealed: Walking Dead, Community, Revolution, American Horror Story and More

Earlier today, The Paley Center for Media announced the full lineup of honorees for their 30th annual PaleyFest, marking the biggest festival to date. The yearly event will take place at Saban Theatre beginning March 1st, and each panel will be available on Hulu the next day. Specific guests have not been revealed yet, but typically, nearly all the main cast and creators from the various series take part in the event.

Here's the schedule breakdown:

  • Friday, March 1: Opening Night Presentation: The Walking Dead (7:00 pm)
  • Saturday, March 2: Revolution (7:00 pm)
  • Sunday, March 3: Once Upon a Time (1:00 pm matinee presentation) and The Newsroom (7:00 pm)
  • Tuesday, March 5: Community (7:00 pm)
  • Wednesday, March 6: The New Normal (7:00 pm)
  • Thursday, March 7: Parenthood (7:00 pm)
  • Friday, March 8: The Mindy Project (7:00 pm)
  • Saturday, March 9: Nashville (1:00 pm matinee presentation) and Arrow (7:00 pm)
  • Sunday, March 10: Dallas (1:00 pm matinee presentation)
  • Monday, March 11: New Girl (7:00 pm)
  • Wednesday, March 13: The Big Bang Theory (7:00 pm)
  • Thursday, March 14: 2 Broke Girls (7:00 pm)
  • Friday, March 15: Closing Night Presentation: American Horror Story: Asylum (7:00 pm)

What's interesting to note here is that two of these shows, The Walking Dead and Community, have been going through some widely publicized turbulence behind-the-scenes lately. Between ex-showrunner Glen Mazzara's exit from Walking Dead and Chevy Chase's leaving Community, not to mention the departure last year of creator Dan Harmon, this begs the question of who exactly will represent the series and how much they will openly discuss the goings on of their recent shakeups.

On the good news front, this year marks Community's fourth appearance at PaleyFest, which was previously unprecedented. To commemorate the occasion, their panel will feature a live table read with the cast.

Additionally, this year's inaugural PaleyFest Icon Award will honor Ryan Murphy, whose series Glee, Nip/Tuck, and American Horror Story have all been previous PaleyFest honorees. The showrunner will receive the award at a celebration set for Wednesday, February 27, 2013, which will kick off the event.
