Homer's Odyssey Goes to Space

Sing to me of the adaptation, Muse, the Warner Bros. plan to make a film version of The Odyssey set in outer space.

How sparkling-eyed Athena drove the studio to hire James DiLapo to put pen to parchment; to re-imagine Homer's epic poem about hard-suffering Odysseus and his long journey home from the Trojan War, only with a sci-fi twist.

Oh Zeus! Golden-haired Brad Pitt was once attached to star, for the gods know he played Achilles in Warners' Troy, though he has since left the project. But still, the studio does see franchise potential for The Odyssey. Maybe they can call it A Space Odyssey.

True, the people might well wonder who James DiLapo is; graduated from NYU just last summer, the great DiLapo's first script, Devils at Play, made the divine 2012 Black List. The daughter of Zeus, whose shield is storm and thunder, indeed watches over him.
