Texas Chainsaw 3D's Success Begets Another Sequel

Not exactly shocking news since it is the No. 1 movie in America right now, but the success of Texas Chainsaw 3D has guaranteed a sequel is in the offing.

Deadline reports that another Leatherface movie is in active development at Millennium Films. Production is expected to begin later this year in Louisiana. No word yet on what talent will be involved in front of or behind the camera.

The site oddly refers to the project as Texas Chainsaw 4, even though going by the new film's continuity it would actually be the third installment not the fourth. Also, the existing Texas Chainsaw 4 would be Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, starring Matthew McConaughey and Renee Zellweger.
