In 2012, Velocity stormed the PlayStation Store as a PlayStation Mini, and IGN really dug it. Today, over on the PlayStation Blog, developer FuturLab announced that a native PlayStation Vita version of the space shoot’em up is coming as Velocity Ultra.
The game will pack Trophies, online leaderboards, new effects and “a completely overhauled visual style at native PS Vita resolution,” according to FuturLab Managing Director James Marsden. “We’re reworking all the art in the game, so the cut scene stills have been recreated at a much higher standard than before.”
There isn’t a solid release date yet, but Marsden estimated the title hitting the PSN in May.
