Is Telltale Games Teasing Its Fables Game?

It's been some time since we've heard what's next from Telltale Games, but the developer of 2012's celebrated The Walking Dead: The Game may be teasing something around its DC Comics Fables project, depending on how you interpret a Tweet with the hashtag #howl posted tonight by Telltale Games on Twitter.

Specifically, our hunch is the tweet could be a cryptic nod to Bigby Wolf, one of the main characters of the sweeping 120-plus issue Vertigo franchise.

'Sup.

Does this mean some Fables game news is coming soon? Will the company will announce something at PAX East? Have they landed on a new name (Telltale announced it wouldn't just be called Fables)?

Who knows, but it's been a few years since Telltale announced its Fables adaptation in 2011. Twice this month Telltale did however retweet two Fables-related bits of news:

Telltale Games at Fabletown and Beyond? Big news about the Fables game in production? Things you can only learn by also being at the con?

When Twitter follower Steveo Smith aka @Alerek commented about what he called tonight's "foreboding tweet," Telltale responded simply by saying:

.@alerek stay tuned...

Otherwise, Telltale news has been mostly quiet since writer Gary Whitta said we "won't have to wait for Season 2 to play more Walking Dead." And he wasn't talking about AMC's Walking Dead game.
