Keri Russell has joined the cast of Fox's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The Felicity and The Americans actress will play the female lead in the sequel. But is her character human or ape?
Alas, the gang at Variety, who got the scoop, don't know the specifics of Russell's character. (Oh Lawgiver, please let her play an ape!) What we can ascertain, however, is how Russell got the job: Matt Reeves, who's helming the film, was the co-creator of Felicity, which he also executive-produced and served as director on for a bunch of episodes.
Andy Serkis returns to the role of Caesar in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, with Jason Clarke, Kodi-Smit McPhee and Gary Oldman all recently joining the cast. Dawn will hit on May 23, 2014.
