Mark of the Ninja DLC Announced

Klei Entertainment has announced that Mark of the Ninja will receive new Special Edition downloadable content on Steam and Xbox Live Arcade this summer. The content will include a new level “set in a flashback to the early life of Dosan (the enlightened tattoo artist) that will set the stage for the events that transpire in Mark of the Ninja.”

Players will also be able to utilize a new nonlethal takedown ability, plus two new items -- “one more geared to stealth and concealment and one a bit more direct.” The game will also receive developer commentary, which will “discuss various aspects of the game's creation, anecdotes, at least two history lessons and other behind the scenes info from nearly everyone on the team.” The commentary will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese.

Klei noted that “for anyone who has already played Mark of the Ninja, we're hoping the Special Edition will give them a reason to revisit the game with both new challenges and insights, much as you'd watch the director's commentary of one of your favorite movies.”

No price or release date has been announced for the Special Edition, but players can get their first look at the content at PAX East in Klei’s booth.
