Amazon Unveils the Zombieland Pilot Episode

Amazon has unveiled the pilot episode for Zombieland, which you can watch for free via this link. The outlet’s plan is to release several pilots that they currently have in development and then “let the audience decide” which ones go to series.

Viewers will be allowed to vote on six additional comedy pilots and six children’s, the outlet will then look at the vote count, reviews and views and decide which of the 13 potential series will go into full-season productions to stream on Prime Instant Video.

Netflix is set to release their new horror series Hemlock Grove this Friday, so it’s possible that Amazon is attempting to beat their competitor to the proverbial punch. The Zombieland pilot was written & produced by the 2009 film’s original team: writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and producer Gavin Polone with Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) directing the pilot.

We’re preparing to watch the pilot ourselves and will have a review available later on today.
