Full Control has announced a Kickstarter campaign to fund a turn-based reboot of the Jagged Alliance franchise called Jagged Alliance: Flashback. Described as “a reset that returns the franchise to the tactical turn-based action of the original games,” Flashback will be set in the mid-1980s on the Caribbean island of San Cristobal and “transports players back in time to the cold war era.”
The minimum donation for the campaign will be $5, but Full Control hasn’t announced the exact funding goal yet. Additional details about the campaign are set to be released next week once the Kickstarter has been launched.
The original Jagged Alliance was released in 1994 as a turn-based strategy game. The franchise received its first reboot last year with Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, which abandoned turn-based mechanics in favor of more modern strategy.
