Universal has announced that it's swapping the release dates for Kick-Ass 2 and The World's End in the UK, meaning the former will be pushed back to August while the latter will arrive in July.
Den of Geek reports that The World's End, the final part of the Cornetto trilogy from Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright will now be released on July 19. That's the good news. The bad news is it's done a straight swap with Kick-Ass 2, which will now hit UK screens on August 14.
No reasons have been offered for the change, but this isn't the first time Kick Ass 2 has been pushed back. Hopefully all is well on the production; for now though, you'll have to make do with looking at the range of posters that were recently released for the flick.
As far as we're aware, the US dates for both films haven't changed meaning Kick-Ass 2 is still out on August 16 , while The World's End will arrive on August 23.
