At the Upfronts a few weeks back, we were shown trailers for The CW's upcoming new series for the 2013-2014 TV season. However, the network only released shorter teasers and clips online afterwards, which revealed far less. Now The CW have released the full trailers to all five new series -- The Originals, The Tomorrow People, Reign, The 100 an Star-Crossed -- which you can check out below.
The Originals trailer is culled from scenes from the backdoor pilot episode of The Vampire Diaries that led to the spinoff series. However, be warned that the other trailers are extremely spoilery for the pilot episodes of the new series. Upfronts trailers are cut with an audience of advertisers in mind, and are several minutes long, giving away pretty much everything that occurs in a show's pilot, attempting to entice those advertisers with the twists and turns a series will take.
The trailers reinforce The CW's notable move into more genre series with all but the period piece Reign including elements like vampires, superheroes and sci-fi. And even Reign has Nostradamus and his visions of the future...
