On the show floor at E3, Sony showed off some of its prototype accessories for the PlayStation 4, revealing the design of its bundled-in chat headset, add-on console stand, and DualShock 4 charging station. While the charging station and console stand are a fairly standard affair and will be sold separately, Sony's decision to ship the console with a earbud-style mono chat device instead of more traditional headset may come as a surprise.
The headset is comparable to the kind you'd find bundled with a smartphone, featuring a single earbud with an inline microphone and a clip for attaching it to your shirt. Presumably, this means players should be able to use just about any standard three-pole headset with the system.
