Angry Birds developer Rovio has revealed on its blog that an announcement about a brand new game will be made next Monday, July 15th.
The accompanying the teaser image (below), which pays homage to the very first teaser poster released for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, strongly suggests the new game will be based on the prequel trilogy of Star Wars films.
"We’re talking the biggest character line-up ever, awesome new powers, and maybe even a few surprises," promises Rovio. There are no further details.
Angry Birds Star Wars came out in November of last year and received a positive critical reception. IGN gave the game 8.8, saying "Angry Birds Star Wars is a great example of how to evolve a long-running franchise & integrate a beloved brand."
