Sony has responded to an issue that has left new Vita customers unable to download games bundled with the device as part of a retail promotion.
The PlayStation Vita Mega Pack promotion began three weeks ago, and bundled together an 8GB memory card along with a ten-game compilation including LittleBigPlanet Vita and WipeOut 2048. The games bundle could be bought for £35 or with a Wi-Fi Vita for around £230.
When users tried to download their digital games, however, many were unable to after encountering the error code NP-2244-2.
Now, Sony has responded to the issue to let customers know the situation is being investigated. In a statement provided to IGN, Sony said, "We are aware that some PlayStation Store users who have purchased the digital voucher code for the PlayStation Vita Mega Pack have not been able to download the games included in the Mega Pack and have received an Error Code.
"We are aware of the issue and are actively working on a resolution which we will update you on as soon as we can.
"It is really important to us that the best possible PlayStation Store experience is delivered and we appreciate your patience as we resolve this matter."
