Many gamers have long wanted to see the Nintendo title The Legend of Zelda brought to the big screen, but Nintendo is understandably reticent to let their games be turned into films ever since the debacle that was the Super Mario Bros. movie.
In 2007, Imagi Studios -- the animation house behind the CG-animated TMNT and Astro Boy feature films -- produced a proof of concept reel to show Nintendo what they could do to bring Legend of Zelda to cinematic life as a computer-animated movie. That film obviously never got made and Imagi fell on hard times following the box office failure of Astro Boy, but now their Zelda pitch reel has found its way online.
