CD Projekt RED has announced that Game of Throne's star Charles Dance will voice the Emperor of Nilfgaard in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The actor, best known for his role as Tywin Lannister in HBO's hit series, will lend his distinctive voice to the game due out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2014.
The Witcher 3 lead writer Marcin Blacha said, "Charles Dance is the perfect candidate to play the mighty Nilfgaardian emperor in our upcoming title. It’s a dream come true for the team here at RED to be able to work with such an accomplished actor and magnetic personality."
Following Nilfgaard's invasion of the Northern Kingdoms at the climax of The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings, the Emperor's forces decimated the land, raping and pillaging as they went.
In case you missed it yesterday, check out the epic cinematic trailer "Killing Monsters" below. It reveals No Man's Land; a part of the North under the Emperor's control.
Dance becomes the second Game of Thrones' actor to lend his voice to an upcoming video game; back in June it was revealed Peter Dinklage, who plays Dance's on-screen son Tyrion, will be voicing your companion character Ghost in Bungie's upcoming Destiny.
