Warner Bros. Drops Legendary's Seventh Son

Legendary Pictures' Seventh Son will no longer be released by Warner Bros., as the studio has dropped the fantasy film starring Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore from its calendar.

THR reports that the project will now be distributed by Universal, which partnered with Legendary in July after the production company ended its eight-year marriage to Warners. However, a Universal rep added that they haven't picked a release date yet, leaving the film's original October 18 release up in the air.

This news comes just a few days after Legendary and Warners' deal over Interstellar and Superman vs. Batman. Meanwhile, 300: Rise of An Empire and Godzilla will still be co-financed by Legendary and Warners.

Following Legendary's 2014 slate, future projects like Warcraft, Mass Effect and Hot Wheels will also go to Universal for distribution.
