Zatanna DLC Comes to Injustice: Gods Among Us Next Week

Injustice: Gods Among Us will see the release of its sixth DLC character next week when Zatanna is made available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Just over a week after the release of the Martian Manhunter DLC, a trailer released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today revealed Zatanna as the game's next playable character. Like Manhunter, she will also be available only as a standalone DLC purchase not included in the Season Pass DLC bundle that consisted of Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, and General Zod.

As with each individual character's DLC, Zatanna will be priced at $4.99 on PlayStation 3 and 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 when she is released on August 13. There's no word on a Wii U release, as was the case with Manhunter, but it's possible the DLC is simply releasing later on Wii U like the previous characters.

It's not surprising that Zatanna is the next DLC character. NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon said last month more DLC was coming after Manhunter and that the "next one is a BIG fan favorite request." By retweeting certain messages on on Twitter, he implied that Zatanna could be next.

Zatanna, along with Red Hood, were the top vote-getters in a poll asking fans who they wanted to see released as DLC. We don't yet know whether more DLC is planned, but if more is coming, Red Hood would seem like a strong possibility considering what the outcome of the poll has resulted in so far.

Are you happy Zatanna is now in the game, or would you have preferred Red Hood, or even someone else? Let us know where you hope to see Injustice's DLC go next -- assuming it goes anywhere -- in the comments below.
