Former SNL actress Jenny Slate has been hired to pen the screenplay for a new Looney Tunes movie that Warner Bros. is currently developing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be a live-action/CG hybrid, which is a bit of a departure from the characters' previous films such as Space Jam and Looney Tunes: Back in Action -- those films mostly incorporated 2-dimentional 'toons into a live-action setting.
David Katzenberg and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter's Seth Grahame-Smith of KatzSmith are producing the film alongside Harry Potter's David Heyman.
Detail's on Slate's take on the material are being kept under wraps for now.
