IGN Xbox Live App Launches in UK

The IGN app for Xbox Live has finally gone live for both Britain and Germany today, meaning you’ll be able to get all of our latest content beamed directly to your console.

The launch of the new IGN Xbox 360 app brings you the very best of IGN from around the globe, so you’ll never have to leave the comfort of your sofa for information on a game again.

Opening the app lands you on the home screen, which you can navigate around using the controller, or Kinect hand motions, to discover the most popular videos of the day or the past week, as well as check out what live streams are coming up.

All of IGN’s latest previews and reviews will also appear on the app as soon as they do on the web, so you won’t miss a minute of coverage on your favourite titles. This week, be sure to check out what we thought of supernatural assassin game Dishonored, plus we show you what you need to do to own the battlefield in the Medal of Honor Warfighter beta.

But sometimes it’s not about other titles on the horizon, and you want some help on what’s right in front of you. If the game you’re currently playing is giving you grief, our video guides section has all the insider hints and tips you need to help you through, without you needing to wander off and fire up a computer. So if life as a Vault Hunter is proving too tough in Borderlands 2, we'll give you everything you need to be king of Pandora.

We’ll also be showing off exclusive in-game footage of anticipated titles ahead of launch in the livestream tab, as well as updating the app regularly to make sure you have all the latest IGN videos at your fingertips. You’ll also be able to keep up to speed with your favourite IGN video series through the shows tab, so whether you’re itching for your Daily Fix, or wanting to find out more with Rewind Theatre, we’ve got you covered.

The app is completely free for Xbox Live gold members, and can be grabbed from the Apps marketplace or Apps Hub right now. We look forward to seeing you there.
