Tomb Raider Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

Square Enix has revealed the retailer-specific pre-order incentives for the upcoming reboot of Tomb Raider. In North America, players who pre-order at Game-Stop, Amazon or Best Buy will receive the following bonuses along with their purchase.

GameStop

Pre-ordering at GameStop lands players the exclusive in-game Challenge Tomb. The tomb is a standalone experience that offers various environment puzzles to “test Lara’s brains and brawn.”

Amazon

As previously announced, customers who pre-order at Amazon will receive the Final Hours Edition of Tomb Raider, offering an exclusive 32-page art book assembled by art director Brian Horton. Players will also gain a “Hunter Skin” that puts Lara in “action-movie-style” natural camouflage, plus a download of The Final Hours of Tomb Raider: Director’s Cut, a behind-the scenes documentary about the making of the game.

Best Buy

Best Buy customers will receive an exclusive Tomb Raider: The Beginnings graphic novel. The book is written by Rhianna Pratchett (also lead writer on the game) with art by Brian Horton and is a 48-page hardcover story of “how the ill-fated voyage of the Endurance came to be.” Best Buy pre-orders will also include the Aviatrix Skin, a “1930s adventurer outfit” that dresses Lara in a bomber jacket.

Tomb Raider will hit stores on March 5, 2013, and Square Enix says that details on the game’s Collector’s Edition “will be made available shortly.” Until then, read our Tomb Raider impressions from E3 and find out even more in our Tomb Raider wiki guide.
