App Store Update: December 7

Every day hundreds of new apps make their debut on the App Store, and hundreds more are updated or reduced in price. We have sifted through the noise and highlighted those select few that might be worth your attention.

Game Debuts

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition – ($9.99)

It’s finally here! The legendary RPG Baldur’s Gate has at last made its triumphant return. We know thousands of you have been on the verge of rioting because of having to wait for this one, but the wait is over. Go download it! Go, go!

Draw Something Pro – ($2.99)

Also new in the Store today is the latest edition of the popular social sketching game, Draw Something. The $2.99 price is a limited-time sale, so move fast.

Price Drops

Ravensword: The Fallen King – ($0.99)

Chillingo’s massive action/adventure/RPG is epic in scope, but miniscule in price today. 99 cents buys a lot of questing here.

Worms vs. Birds – (Free)

Also from Chillingo – but even cheaper, at zero cents – is your ticket to the earthworm uprising.

The Sims: Medieval – (Free)

And hey, even Electronic Arts has a new freebie up for grabs today. Enjoy directing the lives of a new set of Sims living back in the Middle Ages.

Updates

Asphalt 7: Heat – ($0.99)

The garage just keeps expanding for the latest Asphalt series sequel, as players can now choose to get behind the wheel of Nissan’s Juke nismo and Juke-R models.

Rabbids Go HD – (Free)

Ubisoft’s wailing, ridiculous rabbit creatures have even more costuming content available now – including fancy mustaches!

Worms 2: Armageddon – ($4.99)

Team 17’s addictive annelid-attacking design has an infusion of the Christmas spirit, now available for free download.
