Pandora’s Tower is finally headed to North America. As announced by XSEED this morning, the action-RPG will be headed to Wii this Spring as part of an agreement with Nintendo.
“It’s fantastic to be bringing such a highly-anticipated title like Pandora’s Tower to such a vocal fan base,” said XSEED CEO Shinichi Suzuki. “North American gamers have been very patient in waiting for this game to be released, and we’re confident they will be pleased when they get their hands on the title.”
Set in the Kingdom of Elyria, Pandora's Tower follows the story of an ex-mercenary named Aeron seeking to rescue Elena, the love of his life. Aeron must kill a series of bosses that reside in thirteen interconnected towers in order to collect their flesh and save Elena from being transformed into a monster. The longer Aeron takes, the less human Elena becomes.
Pandora’s Tower hit Japan in 2011 and Europe in Spring of 2012, but a lack of a North American release has been a point of contention ever since. Pandora’s Tower has been heavily requested by North American fans for well over a year, inspiring the Operation Rainfall campaign in June 2011. Pandora's Tower is the final Operation Rainfall game to be released in North America, following Xenoblade Chronicles last April and The Last Story in August.
