Tricia Helfer will be heading up ABC’s pilot Killer Women. The Battlestar Galactica alum revealed she’d booked the role just yesterday to me today, during a chat about her guest appearance on this week’s Community. (Look for that interview tomorrow).
As Helfer noted, Killer Women is based off of a hit Argentinian show, with the adaptation executive produced by Sofia Vergara. Killer Women is also being executive produced by GoldenEye and Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, who will direct the pilot - this past year Campbell directed the Last Resort pilot at ABC.

Helfer told me, “I play a Texas Ranger. It’s definitely more character driven than say procedural. She’s going to be fun to play. She is obviously a badass being a Texas Ranger but she also has a very quirky side and she’s got a damaged side as well that will be revealed – hopefully in the series!”
