Tomb Raider PC Patch Fixes NVIDIA Issues

The PC version of Tomb Raider has been patched. According to a post on Steam, build 1.0.718.4 “addresses a variety of issues that we either found out about shortly before release or immediately after.”

Most importantly, the patch addresses “stability and start-up issues” for users running both Intel and NVIDIA graphics hardware. Last week, NVIDIA apologized for the poor performance of GeForce GPUs in Tomb Raider, commenting that “unfortunately, NVIDIA didn’t receive final game code until this past weekend which substantially decreased stability, image quality and performance over a build we were previously provided.”

Steam notes that “while we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we made a Beta available on Steam, Build 716.5, that can be used to switch back to the previous version. Please note however that you can only play multiplayer with people that share your version.”

A full list of fixes in the new patch can be found in our Tomb Raider wiki.
