Batman: Arkham Origins Reportedly Has Multiplayer

A new rumor suggests that Batman: Arkham Origins will include a multiplayer mode. An anonymous source tells Kotaku that the game has “at least one multiplayer mode” in which “you play as a member of Joker or Bane's gang while trying to take down Batman and Robin.”

Villains involved in the mode (which “may be playable and customizable”) are said to include Killer Croc, Deadshot, Firefly, Black Mask, Deathstroke and "some kind of Electroman character."

Batman: Arkham Origins was announced earlier this month and is in development at Warner Bros. Games Montreal (the previous Arkham games were developed by Rocksteady). According to the first details, Arkham Origins will hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25th and is a prequel that will see Batman face off against eight assassins who have come to Gotham City to kill him.

We’ve reached out to Warner Bros. about the multiplayer rumor and will update this story with any comment we receive.
