An ESRB rating dug up by CVG indicates that The Sly Collection -- the 2010 HD re-release of PlayStation 2’s Sly Cooper trilogy -- will be coming to PlayStation Vita. (We loved the PS3 version.)
If true (and it almost certainly is, as the ESRB doesn’t rate games out of thin air), this will mark the second Sony-owned HD collection to make its way from PS3 to Vita; the Jak & Daxter Collection was recently confirmed to be coming to Vita after a rumor surfaced last month indicating that it was a possibility. However, to verify, we’ve reached out to Sony for comment and are waiting to hear back.
Sly Cooper as a series was developed by Sony-owned developer Sucker Punch, a studio that has since moved on to create Infamous (2009) and Infamous 2 (2011) for PS3, and is currently working on the PlayStation 4 title Infamous: Second Son. Sly Cooper, on the other hand, recently saw a resurgence thanks to Sanzaru Games, which released Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time -- the first new Sly game in eight years -- earlier in 2013 on both PS3 and Vita. We really liked it.
