Trying to get #FitForE3? Well, Pizza Hut has a new Xbox Live app that’s bound to make more than one health-conscious gamer fall off the wagon. In a partnership formed in the bowels of culinary hell (or heaven, depending on who you ask), Microsoft and Pizza Hut have teamed up to make it even easier to get your fix of melted cheesy goodness without having to inconvenience yourself by reaching for a phone.
Pizza Hut has made their full menu—including customizable pizzas—available through the app, which allows Xbox 360 owners to place orders using the controller, voice commands, or the Kinect sensor. In a symphony of deliciously fattening synergy, users can connect their PizzaHut.com and Xbox accounts to streamline the ordering process.
Larry Hyrb, Microsoft’s Director of Programming for Xbox Live, played it straight with Polygon, saying:
“We're always looking at ways to give our audience more of what they're interested in. If you look at our audience, they love pizza. I mean, who doesn't? It has international appeal, and Pizza Hut is a recognized brand that matches up well with the Xbox brand."
Everyone loves pizza. It’s science. Now, Xbox Live users can seamlessly integrate their snacking options with their Call of Duty marathoning. The Pizza Hut app goes live today and IGN’s own Greg Miller will soon be posting a hands-on test so stay tuned. We’re anxiously awaiting delivery.
