Rock Band and Dance Central developer Harmonix has confirmed that layoffs hit the studio this week.
"We can confirm that a small number of Harmonix employees were let go today," a Harmonix spokesperson told Polygon. "This decision was made due to shifting staffing priorities for Harmonix's multiple future projects."
In February, Harmonix said it was shifting resources to new projects, presumably for next-gen consoles. According to Harmonix’s official site, the studio is still looking to hire a senior technical artist, and superannuation points out that BioShock 2 lead designer Zac McClendon recently joined Harmonix as design director.
