Tekken Revolution Spotted Online

A game called Tekken Revolution has been given an age rating in Australia.

According to the filing, which was made on April 15 in the computer games category, the title will be both "original" and "multi platform", suggesting that the game will be a new project rather than a port.

Namco Bandai is listed as publisher, though the developer isn't specified annoyingly. If anyone other than Namco was mentioned in connection with development then it may have offered an idea about whether the game was being created for handhelds or next-gen consoles.

Sadly, for now, it looks like we're just going to have to wait and see what the listing is about. IGN has reached out to Namco Bandai for comment and will update the story with anything we hear back.

In the meantime, what do you reckon? Could this be another handheld game along the lines of Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, or is this possibly the first Tekken game in development for the next generation of consoles? Does the lack of a number 7 in the title concern or excite you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
