Tecmo Koei has announced Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters, a free trial version of the updated version of its brawler available exclusively on PSN.
In case you missed it, the company is releasing the definitive version of DoA5 as Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate later this year, containing the new characters, modes, and stages from Dead or Alive 5 Plus, in addition to all-new content.
While this will be getting a retail release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 3 in North America and September 6 in PAL territories, Gematsu reports that a free trial version, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters, will be available at the same time exclusively on PSN.
The free download will come with four playable characters (Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate and Ryu Hayabusa) and will offer access to all stages and costumes, with the exception of DLC ones you haven't purchased. Additional characters will cost $3.99 each and all game modes will be playable except for story mode, which can be purchased for $14.99.
