Deus Ex: The Fall Teased by Eidos Montreal

Update: Eidos Montreal has confirmed Deus Ex: The Fall is a real thing by releasing a very brief teaser trailer.

There's not much to see in the video, which you can check out below, other than some music and the question "Are we ready to begin?"

Also present is the date 05/06/13, so whatever the project is it looks like we'll be finding out more tomorrow.

Original story follows.

Original Story: Deus Ex: The Fall is being teased by Human Revolution developer Eidos Montreal.

Trademark filings were spotted for the title back in March, but nothing official has been released until now.

What does this mean? Well, it could be some late DLC for Human Revolution, though this seems unlikely considering the game released almost two years ago. It could refer to the recently announced Deux Ex movie, though again this would be odd considering Eidos Montreal is a game development studio.

Dare we hope that this leaves a new entry in the franchise as one of the more plausible options? Perhaps it has something to do with the Human Defiance trademark spotted back in February? With E3 only a week away, surely we'll be finding out sooner rather than later.

The most recent release in the Deus Ex series was Human Revolution, a prequel to the original game that released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC back in 2011. A Wii U port of the game is currently in development, though no release date has been announced.
