Samsung has started shipping its brand new Curved OLED TV, which will be sold for a relatively low price of $8,999.99, according to Engadget. While still more than most of us would ever spend on a television, Samsung's offering is considerably less expensive than competitor LG's own curved OLED TV, which can currently be purchased for about $15,000.
The curved OLED design is intended to produce deep blacks and vibrant colors, while providing an immersive experience with improved viewing angles. Samsung's TV includes the company's MultiView feature, which lets two people watch different full high-definition content feeds on the same television at the same time, even in 3D, with the help of 3D Active glasses.
Samsung's Curved OLED TV (model number KN55S9C) is now shipping to speciality retailers and will be available for purchase tomorrow through the company's website.
