Sony's Jack Tretton is keeping humble about PlayStation 4 despite his company's otherwise aggressive confidence.
"The lowest priced system isn't always the most successful," Tretton told Bloomberg, but being cheaper than your competition is never a bad thing." Sticking with Sony's consumer-centric messaging, he contuinues, "I think ultimately the gamer looks at ten-year product lifecycles: they look at the software offerings and they look at the value proposition."
During Gamescom, Sony revealed numerous games, and the company continues to reveal additional titles for PlayStation 4, PS3, and Vita.
Microsoft, likewise, revealed Fable Legends and is giving fans a chance to win a free Xbox One with every launch. However, Microsoft has yet to announce a release date for Xbox One, which will compete with PlayStation 4's launch on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe.
You can pre-order both next-gen consoles now. Does Sony's humility make its console more appealing?
