Following on from yesterday's report that Nintendo was planning to release a smaller version of the original Wii on December 7th, a listing has appeared on a retail website that seems to confirm the news.
Best Buy's Canadian website has the redesigned console available for pre-order, though a price is yet to be set. Most interestingly though is the fact that a reported packshot has also been revealed for the console, which you can check out below.
It looks like the Wii Mini will come in red and black and with a Wii Remote as part of the package. According to the retailer leak from yesterday, it'll also come with a sensor bar and nunchuk, though we've yet to see any evidence of that from this listing.
We reached out to Nintendo for comment yesterday, but were told the company didn't comment on rumour and speculation. We've since asked again about the existence of the console and its release details, and will update the story with any response we receive.
With the Wii U only launching in Europe on Friday, there's every chance that the Wii Mini will be released there at a later date, assuming it's real, as it seems unlikely that Nintendo would want to launch two consoles only a week apart.
