AMD Teases Next-Gen A-Series APUs

With the introduction of AMD's upcoming A-series APUs, PC gamers will have a chance to use hardware borne from the same Jaguar architecture found in the custom parts used in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While certain to be drastically more powerful than their console counterparts, AMD's next-generation APUs will leverage on-die graphics processing alongside your PC's discrete GPU for improved performance.

Although sparse on details, the video features a Tron-esque battle between processor-taxing monsters and AMD's "cores" which was produced by DigicPictures, the studio behind the rendered trailers for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Halo 4, and Mass Effect 3. AMD has promised more details about the new A-series APUs to coincide with E3 next week.
