You’ve also probably seen the reaction. It’s not entirely positive. Eriq has laid bare the reaction on Twitter here. The reaction on the IGN AU Facebook page, for instance, is a brutal sorbet of heaving disappointment. Largely, anyway.
The discussion has really only just begun, and there should be plenty of it. It is, after all, a hugely important role and this announcement has been eagerly anticipated.
The parallels between today's vitriol and the disgust that emerged when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker back in 2006, however, are too similar not to mention.
